As we are now continually told by "the powers that be", whoever we decide these "powers" actually are, the retail sector, the financial sector and the economy as a whole have passed through the laboured green shoots of recovery and are sprouting upwards grasping longingly towards the summer sun of continued, improving growth. Now even though you may think the first sentence was in fact written by a government spin doctor, trying as hard to convince himself that this is indeed true, as much as hoping that you buy into it too, you can't ignore the fact that it probably is actually the truth.
With this being the case, never has it been more important or prudent to make the most of your companies marketing budgets. With everything that the economy has been through over the last few years and especially the decline in newspaper advertising being seen as the best way forward for everyone, not only those specifically focussed on retail markets, it seems as though the importance of lead generation and it’s ability to focus on specific aspects of any consumer related field or fields, makes it a fundamental aspect of modern marketing, that smart thinking business leaders simply can’t afford to overlook.
This is true for every business, and I challenge you to seriously think of one that doesn’t fit the model. If you have the ability to sit down around a table, in a now politically correct, "Ideas Shower" and identify the exact type of consumer that you need to target for your business to thrive and then have a company as well groomed in finding these consumers for you as the Data Partnership and them delivering you their name, address, telephone number and email address, how can this not be the way forward??
In all seriousness, in today's world, marketing budgets get swallowed up, days of huge contingency budgets have gone. So the topic that needs investigating is how best to spend those budgets. If you haven't already, you need to be thinking about lead generation, you need to be cutting the waste from your marketing plans, you need to be identifying consumers and areas that work best for your business.
So that all being the case it’s fair to say that Lead generation works! If you're not yet convinced...
Why Use Lead Generation? From the above you can clearly see that CONTROL and SPECIFICS are the buzz words, that should have every marketing manager sitting up taking notice.
If I'm not convincing you, I'd like to tell you what my first ever client said to me having never used Lead generation before. "Nothing makes Monday morning slightly better than turning on your computer, having a sip of coffee while it boots up and finding 100 new warm leads waiting for you to kick-start the week with".
